His work, influenced by architecture, explores concepts such as object-witness and sensory architecture through installations and objects that act as time capsules, interrogating the sources of his inspiration. The work is a diptych that explores the interplay between the intimate and the social through the small wooden column, known as the ‘soul’, in the violins. Composed of a looping video and a circular score, the video repeatedly shows the failed attempt to place the soul in the violin, transforming this act into a political gesture symbolising the search for a place in a harmonic space. The circular score, complemented by urban photographs of the soul in different scenarios, uses improvised notation to reflect the incompleteness and constant search for the soul, both in music and in urban life. This combination of video, photography and score offers a reflection on the construction of the individual and the collective, as well as on the relationship between sound and urban architecture.
